My hobbies include, Bike Riding, Motorcycling, Golf, Swimming, Traveling and Cooking.

Technical Sales for a Large Software Company
How has your fitness changed since joining?
It has dramatically improved. My strength, balance, flexibility and stamina have all increased.

When did you realize that CrossFit was right for you?
About two or three months into it. At first, I could barely do anything and had to scale down significantly. This made me realize how out of shape I actually was.
What movement do you despise over everything and why?
Burpees! I hate burpees!
What has been your all-time favorite moment at CFA?
Oh man, that’s hard to pin down. There have been so many great moments at CFA! I felt very accomplished when I pushed past 200 lbs with my back squat.

What motivates you during a tough workout?
Knowing that everyone else is struggling with the same things. We all suffer together.
What’s something about you that most people at the gym don’t know?
I owned a nightclub at 27 and have had multiple businesses.
If you had to describe your CrossFit experience in one word, what would it be?
Transformative
If you could write your own workout for a day, what would it be?
Warm Up (10 Minutes) – (5 min) – Favorite Machine – (Every 30 seconds) – PVC Passthrough, Good Mornings, Air Squats, Couch Stretch and Pigeon Stretch
WOD (5 x For Time): Run 400 meters, 21 kettlebell swings, 12 pull-ups
Post (3 x): 20 Hollow Rocks, 15 Kettlebell Pullup per Side
Finish – Yoga Corpse Pose
What would you recommend to someone who is just starting out with CrossFit?
Showing up is the most important thing. I have good days and bad days, but I try to consistently show up regardless of how I feel.
If you could have one skill or characteristic of another member at CFA, what and from whom would it be?
I would love to be able to climb a rope. There are so many great athletes that can do this at CFA, it would be hard to single one out.

Coach’s comment:
Over the past two years, Pat has become a morning regular at CFA. One day in March 2023, he just showed up. Convinced by a few guys at Bizstream that CrossFit was for everyone, he figured, why not give it a shot? Over the last two years, Pat has made significant strides in his health and wellness. He is overall stronger, more mobile, and seems to feel better overall. He will still be the first person to complain about the workout or the burpees, but he does it in good spirit, knowing he will do them anyway. Not only has his fitness life improved, but so has his social life. I would say Pat has formed strong friendships and connections with some of the other members at CFA. We are proud of Pat and all his hard work. Here’s to the next two years (and hopefully more)!
