What do you do when you’re not at CFA?
I’m a Journeyman Toolmaker in the deep draw tooling community. When I do get free time I enjoy being on the water and hiking
When did you realize that CrossFit was right for you?
Shortly after starting, I enjoy the structure that every class has. As a military veteran it feels very comfortable.
What movement do you despise over everything and why?
Burpees, because Burpees are the worst.
What has been your all-time favorite moment at CFA?
Completing “the Murph” for the first time
What motivates you during a tough workout?
It’s only time. I can always put forth my best effort for a one hour class and the rest of my day gets easier.
If you could write your own workout for a day, what would it be?
50/25 reps With a 400m buy in each round. Row, AMSU, push up, lunge, and air squats.
What are your goals going forward and what do you think will help you achieve them?
In 2025 I would like to start competing in CrossFit events. To achieve this goal I will be focusing on healing my shoulder over the next couple months to be ready for the 2025 season.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness or just day to day life since starting CrossFit?
I’ve definitely seen a few changes in my body, I’m getting more solid. I feel better than I have in a long time.
What would you recommend to someone who is just starting out with CrossFit?
It’s not a sprint, take your time to learn the movements.
If you could have one skill or characteristic of another member at CFA what and from whom would it be? Or which other CFA member are you the most motivated by?
Probably Mark Just because we graduated together and he’s still kicking ass

Tony’s hard work and dedication have been nothing short of inspiring. Over the past months, he has consistently shown up with a positive attitude, ready to take on any challenge thrown his way. His progress in both strength and overall movement is a testament to his commitment. Tony recently PR’d his back squat at 305# and used his new found fitness to crush a Spartan Race a few months back. Tony’s attitude and determination make him a standout member of our community, and we’re proud to name him our Member of the Month. His journey is a great example of what it means to truly embody the CrossFit spirit.
